1966 Fastback (Sold)

Details: 1966 fastback (GT 350 look-a-like). 302, Auto trans. This car was imported from California in 1995, and a full restoration carried out over a period of 3 years. Many dollars and hours of labour have been spent on this beautiful car. Unfortunately it just tends to collect dust sitting in my garage, and needs to be used on a more regular basis. I have had my 10 years of enjoyment from it, but now it must go on to a new owner who will also look after it. I have a box load of invoices of parts and services carried out. Here are a few of the things that have been done.  Bare metal repaint in Colbolt blue, (the body was in good shape with very little rust), new upholstery throughout, new dash, new steering wheel and cluster, re wired electrical system, full suspension overhaul, new bumpers, all rubbers replaced, power steering overhauled, new tyres on Torque-Thrust D mags, full brake system upgrade with discs to front wheels, (booster fitted), new exhaust system (sounds magic), original auto trans overhauled and upgraded with stall converter. The original 289 motor was rebored to 302, rebuilt with Dart heads, stainless valves, roller rockers, alloy intake manifold, holly carb etc etc . Many spares and invoices, original paperwork, pink slip etc.  This is a very nice car that you can turn key and drive without spending more money on.

Given a complete chassis, electrical and mechanical rebuild with a 428cid installed, repainted Grabber Orange and raced at Pukekohe. After it was retired from racing, the 390 V8 engine was reinstalled. Vehicle has been fitted with an alarm system. Has original black with maroon trim. Mach 1 seats and upholstery.
