Auckland Mustang Owners Club

The Auckland Mustang Owners Club was set up in November 1975 when Len Walker advertised in local newspapers calling all Mustang owners to an inaugural meeting at the John W Andrews Ford showrooms in Royal Oak.

The club covers the whole of the greater Auckland area, plus Northland. It has over 200 members making it the largest New Zealand Mustang club.

The members together own about 160 Mustangs which include :

1964-66: 47 cars including 4 200 ci, 5 GT's, and a K Code Fastback.
1967-68: 29 cars including 2 390's, a California Special, and a Shelby.
1969-70: 40 cars including 3 428 Cobra Jets, 3 Boss, 1 Shelby, and 11 Mach 1's.
1971-73: 13 cars including 2 Cobra Jet's and 7 Mach 1's.
1974-80:  6 cars including 2 '79 Pace cars.
1981-89: 14 cars.
1990-10:  15 cars.

Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month (excluding January), at the Northern Sports Car Club Rooms, 
Mt Richmond Domain (Great South Road entrance), Mt Wellington, 7.30pm start.

The club magazine is called PONY EXPRESS.
